Burning Nights

Your tender kisses

turned to ash,

those you gave me

on burning nights.

Time carried them like a stream,

leaving behind

the picture of a sad dream.

Now I kneel beside your cold body,

I pray to God

to take me from this world

and let me rest in your embrace.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. The grief in these words is deeply felt, and I pray God brings comfort and peace to the hurting heart behind them. 🙏
