Desolate

Published by

Thousands of seas

where my dreams sink

to a dark, silent seabed.

Thousands of seas

that bear away my hopes

beyond the restless waves.

Thousands of seas

that my tears have filled

drop by drop.

Thousands of sorrows

that drag me under

into the cold, vast dark.

Vasos, ‘thousands of seas that my tears have filled’ this breaks the heart open. The way grief becomes an ocean we can’t escape from. Profound. 💙
