Sow Injustice

What’s a piece of media (book, movie, song) that changed how you see the world?

I’ve always been an avid reader, so the piece of media that changed my worldview was a book.

Which book?

Franz Kafka’s “The Trial.” I was relatively young when I read it, around 20 years old. When I finished the book, I realized that injustice reigns in society and that people silently accept it. But the most shocking realization was that even governments, which should protect justice, are steeped in corruption.

That time, looking back, when the book was published in 1925, it made it clearer that nothing had changed in society. Furthermore, the days we live in today can’t be said to have seen any improvements. Unfortunately, governments that should be beacons of justice undermine justice, and the irony is that they do so in the name of democracy.

It seems the seed of injustice can’t be extinguished.
