What’s the most profound piece of advice you’ve been given? Did you take it?

The most life-changing advice I got was back when I was finishing my bachelor’s degree. I considered pursuing a master’s degree in education. So, I talked to my professor about it, and she recommended that I stay in the field of literature. I did so, and many years later, I became a writer myself.

This experience gave me proof that nothing happens in life by coincidence. We are pushed in the right direction by destiny.
