What’s a word or phrase that annoys you?

I don’t like it when people say “I swear!”
When we look closely, from a religious perspective, swearing is a sin, according to the Bible, as a verse says:
But I tell you, do not swear an oath at all: either by heaven, for it is God’s throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
~Matthew 5:34-37
However, aside from religion, I personally don’t like it when people swear or make promises lightly. The reason is that I believe the act of promising is very sacred. You give the other person hope and assurance, feelings that are deeply hurtful if they are not fulfilled. And things get worse.
One may now say, “Oh, they will keep their promise. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have made it.” And I say they may not; we’re human and tend to forget amid the rush of routine. The times we live in are unpredictable, and we don’t know what will happen not only tomorrow, but also in the next couple of hours.
Therefore, to keep your dignity and not disappoint unnecessary other people: DO NOT SWEAR.
