How do you plan the perfect road trip?

There was a period when I commuted between Xanthi and Thessaloniki, a distance of 203 km. Sometimes, I also stayed overnight in Thessaloniki. But I wouldn’t call it a road trip, even though it required preparation. Anyway, I didn’t drive myself; I took the coach.

If I had to plan a perfect road trip, the first essential step would be to plan the route, the destination, and the way to get there. Then I would check the car to avoid unpleasant surprises. Then I would review the route to see where we could stop for food, fuel, sightseeing, and hotels, and where we could stay overnight if it is a long road trip. Also important is the company you choose to make that trip with, and, of course, the music. Last but not least, I should also take cash and credit cards with me. Without money, you can’t get far.
