Shout Out my Message

How do you use social media?

I use a lot of social media platforms; I won’t name them now.

I mostly use them for my work. Uploading my poems, short stories, aphorisms, and links to other accounts, where I upload my work. I seldom use it for personal reasons, like posting an image of my dogs or myself.

We like it or not, we live in times where AI, technology in the form of robots, and the network get increasingly influential and important.

The point is how much and how we let these facilities intrude upon our lives and how we use them. For example, lately there’s been a controversial discussion about whether writers should use AI. Now, I wouldn’t forbid it, but use it only as a source of inspiration to get some examples and ideas. Avoid copying complete texts. However, your main inspiration should remain reading books, be it fiction or philosophy.

By the even filmmakers are AI. Recently, I saw a TV report about the new movie “Deep as the Grave”. Val Kilmer was in the cast; unfortunately, he died, and they didn’t want to replace him. So, filmmakers used AI to generate his performance.

What I want to say is that we can use AI, but only with the intention of using it ethically.

Vasos, I really appreciate how you’ve carved out your own intentional path with social media—using it as a tool for your art and ideas rather than letting it run your personal life. That balance you describe, especially around AI and creativity, is so important right now. Your point about using AI ethically, as a springboard rather than a substitute, is exactly the kind of mindful approach more writers and artists need to consider. And the way you connected it to the Val Kilmer example really drives home how quickly the landscape is shifting. Thanks for sharing such a grounded perspective—it’s a reminder that the human voice, especially one shaped by reading deeply, still matters most.
