What place in the world do you never want to visit? Why?
Ok, I won’t name specific countries but let me put it this way.
I would avoid visiting countries governed by dictators or implementing policies that are dictatorial-like.
Why?
For moral reasons. Furthermore, I grew up in a decade, and when I refer to that specific time of growth, I mean my teenage years, when the European Union began to take its significant shape as an idea, with its principles and policies. These developments, back then, shaped my political values, what I consider valuable in a working, living society.
What I want to express about my vision of social and political justice is that in those days, the sense of democracy was more authentic than it is today. The citizens were considered and given a more central role in society, and specifically in economic activity. Also, regarding the union and approach of different countries, at that time, the emphasis was on cultural union; now it’s predominantly business.
