What do you complain about the most?
Well, I do not exactly complain, but I observe with alarming skepticism.
Itβs about the behavior, the rising violent behavior of the youth. The most worrying thing about it is that it doesnβt start in the teenage phase, no, lately, even earlier. Between 8-10-year-old children.
I believe the most decisive factor for that is social media. Children are exposed to smartphones at an early age, giving them the opportunity to scroll through social media. They canβt process all this information at that young age, and this is the result. In my opinion, parents should think carefully about when to give their children a smartphone as a gift. This excuse from the parents that this is the only way to know where the child is, or in case they need some help, is not crucial. In my time, we didnβt have smart or mobile phones, and we grew up very sound and safe.
Furthermore, we see more countries banning smartphones in schools, and some restrict children’s and teenagers’ access to social media apps.
Hopefully, more governments will awaken and take appropriate educational measures to curb this destructive behavior among the younger generation.
