Autumn arrived
with a heavy, air-
piercing cold,
overturning my heart,
becoming blithe
to the passion
it once so utterly felt.
Feelings falling off
like the leaves
from the strong tree trunk
and bid farewell
without any regret,
cast off for a new land
full of hope
to meet one’s bashert.
