Wretched soul
walks alone
on dusty roads
with the wish
to cast off the burden
from its soul
that torments it
unimaginably, devilishly.
And as it walks sadly,
only with hope
rooted in its heart
that at its end it will find
the salvage it so fervently seeks out.
