Share a lesson you wish you had learned earlier in life.
It is common while growing to ponder about past situations and wish to have known or had some more information before making decisions. If it had been so, your life might have taken a totally different turn. On the other hand, some things are destined to happen in our lives, and some lessons must be learned, because each of us has a reason, a task to be here in this world and life journey.
As for my lessons, in my younger years, I was very naïve and trusted people easily. That, of course, caused me a lot of disappointment and pain. So, I started to awaken and be more careful where I put trust after I moved to Athens for my studies. For that reason, living in a big city like Athens can teach you a wise attitude towards life. I wouldn’t say it toughens you completely, but it teaches you to be more careful. How you communicate with others and how open you are to them.
And there’s another thing I wish I had known; how essential it is to have patience in life. It would have saved me a lot of desperation and anger. I’ve come to realize that good things often happen late in life, or at least when I’ve matured enough to appreciate them.
