Once upon a time
there was a huge book,
and I lost myself in all its pages,
behind the fairy tales and scary stories
that taught me to adore and fear;
still, I kept reading
overcoming words,
commas, semicolons, and full stops
Agony, grabbing my heart,
I turned over page by page,
unstoppable.
Then, a last sigh of relief,
all the stories came to a dead end.
And I?
I was reborn to a new life.
