hidden in the dark

forgotten and scorned

they don’t talk,

just lurk

for lovely days.

Those days,

who will reignite

the outworn, burned ashes

back to life,

so they can strive

for new passions.

    Vaso, the phrase “they don’t talk, / just lurk / for lovely days” really stays with me. It seems to capture the ache of waiting in silence, hoping for light without knowing when or if it will return.
