Who do you spend the most time with?
Most of the time, I spend with myself. And for that, I don’t have to retreat from others.
Many years ago, I developed the habit of conversing with myself, not exactly self-talk, but more of a soliloquy. I do that even when people are around me.
I want to clarify: I’m not crazy or something like that. I do that because I’m introverted and very intuitive, which means I do a lot of thinking, not about problems or worries, maybe now and then. However, my thoughts are mainly possessed by my creative side. I speak these thoughts aloud so that I can process them better. For example, how will I continue writing my book, like the dialogue? I play these roles by myself before writing them down.
Moreover, conversing with myself helps me to get to know myself better. I think it’s essential for us to know ourselves; otherwise, you’re screwed.
