List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?
In the first place, the first book is βThe Trialβ by Franz Kafka.
First of all, I want to say that I have liked to read since my early teenage years, but reading that book in my late 20s ignited my passion for reading. Another reason is that it made me realize how manipulative and unfair society and the system can be.
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s βWilhelm Meisterβs Apprenticeship ” comes in second place. Why? Firsthand, it taught me that itβs worth chasing your dreams and that life is a journey of continuous learning, development, and transformation.
The third book is 1984 by George Orwell. Reading this book planted the seed inside me that I could also write. I didnβt start immediately after reading, but, as I said, it was the seed. Moreover, I was captivated by the story and how Orwell could have such a futuristic vision since the first edition was published in 1949.
I give a bonus book, The Bhagavad Gita, which is very spiritual and inspiring. It opened my eyes to the fact that life is karma, karma we bring into this life, and karma we execute in it for the next life based on dharma. For that reason, I only say, watch out for your deeds.
