Phrasing

What is the legacy you want to leave behind?

Legacy? Like something extraordinary and inspiring written on one’s tomb?

As Nikos Kazantzakis wished to be written on his tomb, he was a famous writer, not only in Greece. One of his novels, “Christ Recrucified,” caused him much trouble with the Church. But not only this one, but also his other writings. There is also the persistent myth that the Greek Orthodox Church excommunicated him. Kazantzakis defended himself by saying he was just a novelist and theologian who wanted to establish doctrines. He expressed only his struggles in his work.

On his tomb is written: “I hope for nothing, I fear nothing, I am free.”

So, what legacy would I wish to leave?

An inspirational phrasing like Kazantzakis’s. Now, I can’t say exactly what I want to be written at his moment. I still have to learn and experience things in life to deliver such an important message to the crowd.

In the end, I would say I want to leave behind an inspirational, vital phrase for humanity.
