Today is Sunday; for many people, it’s a family day. People go to church or do something else; it’s the only day they can rest. But for Catholics, it’s an extra special day today since it was the inauguration of Pope Leo XIV.
I’m not a Catholic, but I wish Pope Leo, the new leader of the Catholic Church, and Bartholomew, the leader of the Eastern Orthodox Church, would bring both churches closer together, which was the first step made with the late Pope Francis.
Therefore, I want to mention some wise, meaningful words from Saint Paisios of Mount Athos. As for both churches, loving one’s fellow man is the most important thing.
