If you could be a character from a book or film, who would you be? Why?

I love ancient Mythology, Philosophers, and generally the Ancient Times. The people who lived during that time made significant contributions to the cultural heritage. Their achievement is more remarkable considering the resources they had available.

So, the character I would like to be is Homer’s Odysseus. Homer’s Iliad and The Odyssey continue to provide material and motifs for writers and filmmakers today.

For that reason, I would like to go back to ancient times, as I’m curious about how people lived back then. I choose to be Odysseus, although he was a cunning and sneaky hero who had been cursed by many Gods, one of them being Poseidon.

However, I am particularly interested in learning about the events that unfolded during the Trojan War, one of the most famous wars, and discovering what actually occurred and what is merely myth. And, as Odysseus is one of the most prominent lost travelers in history, or, more accurately, Mythology, I also want to experience this adventure of his.

By the way, Christopher Nolan was in Greece in March, shooting his new movie, “The Odyssey,” in which Matt Damon plays Odysseus.
