I have the correspondence between Schiller and Goethe as a book. In that exchange, they discuss various matters, including their writing work, friends, children, wife, their state of mind, and sources of inspiration. Schiller sent manuscripts of his writing to Goethe for correction or to solicit his opinion, and vice versa. They are fascinating letters, offering a private glimpse into the lives of Schiller and Goethe and their friendship.
Therefore, I decided to translate some interesting parts of these letters from German into English.

Schiller to Goethe, Jena, 19th February 1795, Thursday

The miserable weather has once again taken away all my courage, and my doorstep is once again the old boundary of my desires and my wanderings. I would gladly take advantage of your invitation as soon as I can trust my health a little, even if I could only see you for a few hours. I long for it dearly, and my wife, who is very much looking forward to this visit, will not leave me in peace until it is carried out.

Goethe to Schiller, Weimar, 21st February 1795, Saturday

How happy I am that you wish to stay in Jena and that your homeland has not been able to draw you back. I hope we will still do and work out many things together.

I ask for the manuscript of the fourth book and will return the synonyms soon. Thus, the dance of hours will become more lively.
