Anything can happen in life,
especially nothing.
~Michele Houellebecq~
What activities do you lose yourself in?
An activity that has a nurturing impact on me and tempts me to lose myself is reading.
Not reading anything allures me to lose myself, but a book with a captivating story makes it impossible for me to put it down. I’ve read so many books so far that I can’t even remember all the titles, and five books have fulfilled the abovementioned characteristics till now. The titles are:
-Wilhelm Meister’s Apprenticeship, by Johann Wolfgang Goethe
-The Metamorphosis, by Franz Kafka
-The Trial, by Franz Kafka
-Serotonin, by Michele Houellebecq
-100 Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Márquez
Another activity that also makes me forget entirely about time and surroundings is drawing. Unfortunately, I haven’t had much time to draw lately.
