Tell us about your favorite pair of shoes, and where they’ve taken you.

I bought my favorite shoes from a sporting store in the Monastiraki neighborhood in Athens. As you can already guess, they were sneakers. It was a sunny day, and as I passed the shops, I saw these beautiful pairs of FILA shoes. The specialty that drew my attention was their color: pink, yellow, and turquoise. I tried them on, and on the spot, I bought them.
Oh, with my FILA shoes, we walked many miles on the ancient streets and alleys of the Plaka neighborhood, where Sophokles, Plato, and Aristoteles strolled. We walked around the Ancient Roman Market in Monastiraki or past the Temple of Zeus near the Panathenaic Stadium, also known as Kallimarmaro. We often crossed Syntagma Square, the heart of Athens, in a rush to avoid being late for work.
We also went on a trip to the island of Tinos, climbed up the small hill to the Holy Church of the Virgin Mary, and explored the surrounding area.
One day, we returned to our hometown and spent the rest of our time together working out until my FILA shoes had to retire.
They had their place on the staircase in a corner for a long time up until such time arrived, unfortunately, to say goodbye.
