Teamwork

Write about your first computer.

I bought my first computer when I started my studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. It was a good computer. I won’t explain the technological stuff in depth now, such as brand, etc.

My computer and I were a great team; we worked well together, and with its help, I finished my bachelor’s and master’s degrees. Thanks to it, I did a lot of research and wrote my assignments, theses, and other writing work for many years. Moreover, due to my unsteadiness, it had to move with me between Athens—Xanthi, Xanthi—Germany, and Germany—Xanthi. But it worked without complaining for around 11 years until, one day, it was time to retire.

I still have that computer stored in my attic. A few days ago, I had to bring it down and re-plug it again because I was looking for a file. And tada, it still worked. All I can say is it was worth its money, and it wasn’t even much.  😊😉

This week we heard that the Kapodistiako Uni will open a branch in Cyprus. They have already chosen an old building to house themselves in the heart of old Nicosia within the walls!!

Oh, I didn’t know that. That’s a good development. Cypriot students don’t need to move to Athens. I remember when I was studying, there were a lot of students from Cyprus. 😊
