Long Time Ago

Can you share a positive example of where you’ve felt loved?

In my view, without self-love and self-acceptance, it’s impossible to experience love in its true, deep meaning. So, to receive and feel love, someone has to love himself/herself, which is a long learning process. Why? Because we are humans, we meet people who challenge us, sometimes making us feel weak or not good enough. Other times, we have to go through struggles at work and at home and face almost daily problems that cause anger and self-doubt. This mountain of burden has a tremendous impact on how we define love, what we expect from love, and when we have that feeling of satisfying completion.

I confess I’m still learning. Some days are okay, and other days, I have setbacks.

Back to the question: Where I’ve felt loved?

Well, the last time I had that feeling of happiness of completion, and I was worth it and accepted, was the moment when I got my bachelor’s degree from the University of Athens. It’s been a long time since then, but it was when I loved myself, felt loved, and had that hopeful, confident feeling that many doors were open for me.
