Waver Feeling

When are you most happy?

Honestly speaking, I can’t remember the last time when I felt really, really happy. That sense of feeling you think you are flying and nothing can hold you back.

Happiness and I have a, how should I say, complicated, wavering, love-hate relationship.

Undoubtedly, I was delighted when I published my book, but all the hard work and transformation on the psychological level and all the other circumstances I went through in the previous period somehow held that exhilarating feeling back and put a damper on it.

That’s why I have a different approach to happiness. I don’t pathetically chase after it anymore; when it comes, it comes. Maybe it has visited me, and I didn’t recognize it because I turned my attention to work matters or served and helped others. Happiness was there, but I wasn’t aware of it, and it quickly faded away.

I can totally relate. Sometimes happiness feels elusive, especially when life gets overwhelming or when we’re focused on other things. It’s like it comes and goes without us even noticing.
