Sadness is my companion
in the warmth heat
of summer
and the freeze-cold
of winter.
All nights
sinking in deep silence
madden, bit by bit
the feeble mind.
Hence, stands powerless
the heroes heart
at the gates of death
tainted, drop by drop
from disease
of loneliness.

I get it. The loneliness and sadness can feel overwhelming, like they’re always with you no matter what season you’re in. But I want to remind you that even in those darkest moments, God promises to be close to the brokenhearted. He sees our pain, and even when it feels like it will never end, He’s there to give us strength and comfort. In our weakest times, His grace is enough. We may feel alone, but He’s always with us, walking beside us, offering help and hope, even when we can’t see it.
