Read-Write Type

What podcasts are you listening to?

I do not follow up regularly on podcast programs. If I see an interesting headline on the web, I click in to listen to it, but that’s very rare.

The reason is that I’m not the auditive type but the read/writing. When I have to listen to something for a more extended period, I quickly get bored and lose interest; my mind starts to drift away, thinking about other things.

I need something written in front of me so I can highlight it, underline it, or write notes next to it, which I can later look up. That’s how I can dive deep into the theme; it has been proven to be the best way to stay focused, process the information, and store it in my brain. In other words, generally to learn.

Great when that happens, when an image punctuates what one’s trying to get across. 🙂
