You have three magic genie wishes, what are you asking for?
Ohhh, we have the famous classical genie wishes question for today!
Wouldn’t it be nice if that genie really existed and fulfilled our wishes? But on the other hand, considering that not only good and nice people will wish but also evil and bad ones, how would that turn out?
Furthermore, should one make these wishes more self-centered or collective? Another questionable point is whether one should put one’s good and well-being first before the collective or sacrifice one’s well-being for the collective. Another version could be someone being totally egoistic and not thinking about others at all and only about himself.
Moving on to my wishes, I will be honest, a bit selfish, but fair to the collective.
1st wish: I wish health for myself, my parents, and my siblings. Well, my parents have the typical issues according to their high age. My sister has some joint problems and with her lower back, and my brother, as a former hobby football player, has his old knee problem appeared again, and he must undergo outpatient knee surgery. All in all, thank God nothing serious so far, and I hope and wish it will stay the same in the future.
2nd wish: My second wish goes to the collective. Dear Genie, I wish for peace worldwide. Thumbs up when you can manage it. This might be the first time there will be peace worldwide, and you are the only one who will have achieved it, a kind of miracle. As the political situation has developed, I think only a Genie can reach peace because our politicians today are very lousy at their jobs. We are heading from bad to worse regarding the wars that are going on nowadays.
3rd wish: That wish is dedicated only to me. I wish for more creativity and time to express that creativity successfully, inspire others, and hopefully leave at least one small brick on the cultural asset.
While writing that post, the song “Genie in a Bottle” by Christina Aguilera came to my mind.
