The healing of knitting

What skill would you like to learn?

A long time ago, when I was around 20 years old, I wanted to learn how to knit. Unfortunately, nobody from my environment knew how to knit except my grandmother, who lived in Greece, and at that time, I was in Germany. So, I bought a book about knitting and needles and sat down to learn it. I really tried hard mmmm, but I was young, and other interests popped up; then there was work, and other things interfered, and finally, the knitting book ended up back on the shelf.

However, knitting has always fascinated me; making a knitting jumper and other knitwear with your hands, according to your taste and liking, and you know this jumper will be unique. Furthermore, I heard many saying that knitting has a soothing effect. So, what could be better while relaxing to create something beautiful?

Therefore, I would like to acquire the skill of knitting. By the way, I still have the knitting book; it moved with me from Germany to Greece.

It’s such a wonderfully practical skill to learn. I hope you will soon be able to put photos of your end products in your blog.

That is a wonderful skill, and it’s so cool of you to try it πŸ™‚
Probably the most important thing is staying curious and experimenting, at least that’s how I feel πŸ™‚
Yes, unique clothes are the best outcome of this skill.
I also tried knitting when I was 22 or something, and I’m not sure about relaxing, but my hand movements were too tight, and I scratched my fingers to the point of bleeding while knitting. So I quit because it was too painful for me πŸ˜€

I took up knitting at the edges of Covid, but dropped it once the friend I was learning it from moved away. I’d love to pick it up again but my patience has been missing. πŸ™‚

The patience to go back and undo/redo is a big one!
