What are you curious about?
It’s hard for me to get a clear answer about what I am curious about since it concerns a matter in the realm of philosophy, existentialism, another sphere, and space.
What I am curious about is what exactly happens after we die.
Does our soul or spirit leave our body and hover above us as we see in movies or series? Or is this warm light shining on us, like some people narrated who have had the chance to experience it for a few seconds before they came back to life?
Do we see our complete life as a fast-forward movie playing in front of our eyes during our last seconds?
Does our soul wander around for 40 days before it leaves and goes to heaven?
Or does it first have to go to hell and endure punishment and purgatory before entering heaven, as Dante presents it in “The Divine Comedy”?
Does heaven exist, or is it just a solace for us not to fear death and think that there is something beyond that?
Does hell exist, or is it just an idea or conduit of the church to keep us humans on the path of morality?
As I mentioned, it’s impossible to get answers based on facts for these questions, and there is only one way to find the answer: experience. But it is one good thing before we reach the point of that experience: This uncertainty leads us to care more about our spirituality.
