Keep it humble

What’s the one luxury you can’t live without?

First, I think someone should consider the different perceptions of luxury. What is luxury?

For some people, having one hot meal daily is a luxury or a roof over their heads. On the other hand, for different, luckier humans, going to an extraordinary island with all its comforts is luxury, as is buying the latest Mercedes model, or jewellery, etc.

Personally, the luxury I need ardently is having and buying books. I can’t throw books away or part with them in any way. I would buy more books if I had a bigger space to store them.

Unfortunately, buying a book nowadays ended up being a luxury. Whereby it should be the easiest way to access knowledge.

The other luxury I can’t live without is my daily skincare. I don’t use expensive brands for my skincare, but many products.

All in all, I believe and I hope that I don’t have extraordinary luxurious habits.

Luxury is a concept laden with subjectivity, varying greatly from one individual to another. At its core, luxury transcends mere utility, offering an experience or possession that exceeds basic necessity and provides a sense of indulgence, comfort, or pleasure.
For some, luxury manifests in material possessions such as designer clothing, exotic vacations, or high-end gadgets. These items are often associated with status symbols, reflecting one’s social standing or affluence. Owning such items can provide a sense of fulfillment and prestige, elevating one’s lifestyle beyond the ordinary.
Others find luxury in intangible experiences, such as fine dining, spa treatments, or exclusive events. These indulgences prioritize sensory pleasure and relaxation, offering moments of escape from the demands of everyday life. Luxury experiences can be transformative, creating lasting memories and enriching one’s life with moments of joy and gratification.
Furthermore, luxury extends beyond individual preferences to encompass cultural and societal norms. What may be considered luxurious in one context could be commonplace in another. Factors such as economic status, cultural background, and personal values shape one’s perception of luxury, influencing the choices they make and the significance they attribute to certain experiences or possessions
