I would interpret the question as to what I would do voluntarily.

Nowadays, it can be observed that more and more elderly people have to live in nursing homes as they can’t be provided with appropriate nursing care due to their diseases and disabilities in their own homes. From personal experience, I see many old people suffer from Parkinson and Dementia; these are both diseases when they reach their advanced stage, the patient must receive professional care.

Generally speaking, elderly people living in nursing homes may have family who visit regularly; in other cases, they don’t receive many visits as their family has tight schedules, different responsibilities, or live far away. And there are the ones who find themselves in an unlucky situation and don’t have any living family members.

I would now voluntarily visit a nursing home and try to entertain older people by playing board games or cards with them, reading aloud, or organizing entertaining events like movie evenings or music. I sincerely believe giving people in this age group as many happy moments as possible is very important.
