What’s something most people don’t understand?

I can only speak about the people who surround me, and I come daily in contact.

People here, by the way, I live in Greece, can’t understand that they can’t live and behave only to their comfort and ignore the needs and existence of the people in their environment.

For example, last week at the supermarket’s parking lot, because some geniuses were too lazy to walk a few meters more, they parked their cars, it was four cars, on the passageway of the parking lot.

Another case occurred when I was in town. Again, someone was unable or lazy to find a parking place or to walk and placed his / her car on the pedestrian walkway.

So, people have to think more collectively when they move around in a public area; they should think about their behavior and its consequences on others.

Here is a pic from the car on the sidewalk:

Oh my goodness, yes! I live in FL/US, and many people here seem to make a big display of how uncaring they can be, as though it is a way to show off wealth. So as with the cars, the attitude behind it is “I don’t care about the ticket, that’s how cool I am.” Forget considering “Oh, someone’s grandmother might have to bring groceries home and can’t get by if I park here.”

Exactly, as you say. Or imagine a mother with a baby buggy in one hand and in the other hand a 5- year old child.

What’s unfortunate is that there isn’t time for people in society like this to re-raise one another. Another place it gets to me is in a theater or show. People recording and talking and not appreciating their privilege or respecting others’ experience really gets to me sometimes.

In our Greektown’ things got bad a couple years ago. Drivers double parked, blocking lanes. The yiayias couldn’t even cross the street.
    .
Now the city of Toronto has installed these bike lanes, and concrete dividers for protection.
    .
People are selfish and unfortunately itbtakes authorities to atep in and correct behaviour.

Double parking is a natural behaviour on the streets of Greece, unfortunately. And it annoys me specifically when it happens on a narrow street and there’s a two-way traffic.

Yes, and my family (and many others) imported the behaviour to Canada many years ago.

Well, I grew up in Germany. That time things were different there, more strictly. The classic German order and neatness.
