Not a denial, just a delay

Something on your “to-do list” that never gets done.

To be honest, I get all my to-do tasks done. Since my teenage time, I have developed a sense of responsibility. Sometimes, it took an obsessive tone, and I did my duties immediately. Otherwise, I would feel guilty. The cringe thing is that I checked and double-checked after I had completed my task.

But with time, things changed, and I got more relaxed. Now, I delay the things that must be done until it’s impossible to wait any longer. I choose to do it this way because I feel that maybe something will change, and I will put my heart and work in vain. So, I prefer to reflect and explore things and situations before taking action.

But there is one thing I really wished to do but never achieved, and this is to keep a diary. I started to write, but I got lazy after a couple of weeks, and my diary journal lay dormant in a drawer.

Truth is confirmed by inspection and delay; falsehood by haste and uncertainty.

I so relate to this. I’ve often placed high priority on daily chores, to the detriment of things like engaging with WordPress. It feels good to let the messes sit a little while longer.

Exactly. Sometimes, it’s better to take things easy and not put yourself under pressure. The surprising is that you get better results.
