Dinner for 3

If you could have dinner with any philosopher, who would it be?

Oh! Now you are putting me in a quandary. I love philosophy, and there are many philosophers I would like to have dinner with, if I had the opportunity.

At least I will mention two.

The first one is Socrates. I like his technique for questioning things people took for granted. His method was to ask and answer questions in a way that created a dialogue that further ignited and fed critical thinking.

For that, having dinner with him and some conversation would be very enlightening.

The other philosopher I would very much like to have dinner with is Friedrich Nietzsche. Nietzsche was a genius in his time, and I think he still is, as his work continues to influence philosophical discussion. His work was, and still is, revolutionary, so a dinner with him would be liberating, given his unique interpretation of freedom.

The most exciting and comfortable option would be to have dinner with both at the same time. Why not?
