
What strategies do you use to cope with negative feelings?
To answer this question, I first need to identify when I feel negative emotions and which kinds I consider negative. For instance, having an argument, or let’s say a disagreement with someone, or being told that someone can’t stand me, doesn’t cause negative feelings in me. As for jealousy, a common feeling of bitterness, honestly, I stopped feeling jealous a long time ago because I have no reason to be.
So, when it comes to negative feelings, I have such sentiments regarding my career. For example, is that story I wrote good or bad? Could I make some improvements? What kind of improvements? Will people like it? Will the book thrive?
You may notice that I’m more considerate when people like my stories than when they like me.
Anyway. So, regarding these feelings, I have a strategy I use to manage them, and luckily, this approach is supported by my birth chart, almost like a gift from God. Since I have Ketu, the headless shadow planet, in my 10th house, the house of career and public reputation, I tend to detach myself from unpleasant emotions and focus more on the spiritual side of my work. To be honest, that wasn’t always the case. I developed this method over time as I became more spiritual, especially when I started writing.
