Incurable

The heart has no cure

it pays highly, its share

of the pain of love

so then does it cast it

like a stone out to the shore,

and though it knows very well

no matter how much time passes

still, it will always wait there.

“Vasiliki, this is stunning. You’ve woven such a profound truth about love and resilience into just a few lines. The image of the heart casting its pain like a stone onto the shore, only to know it will always return to that same waiting place, is both heartbreaking and deeply beautiful. It speaks to the enduring, patient, and scarred nature of how we love. Thank you for sharing this piece of your heart.🌷🤝
