When are you most happy?

Britannica gives the following definition regarding happiness:

happiness, in psychology, a state of emotional well-being that a person experiences either in a narrow sense, when good things happen in a specific moment, or more broadly, as a positive evaluation of one’s life and accomplishments overall—that is, subjective well-being. Happiness can be distinguished both from negative emotions (such as sadness, fear, and anger) and also from other positive emotions (such as affection, excitement, and interest). This emotion often co-occurs with a specific facial expression: the smile.

Well, as for me, being happy is a very subjective emotion. Each of us feels different and has their own standards; therefore, happiness is connected to altered impulses. Moreover, I believe the state of happiness is not everlasting but moments of lightning, where you feel your soul exalted, almost bursting, and thinking there’s nothing else better than this exact moment. But, hey, life continues, and reality catches up.

Therefore, I’ve learned in life to look out for a simple kind of happiness, where you can find it in the melody of a song, in a scene of a movie, in the lines of a book or a song, in a chat with your family or a stranger, or in a hug. In a cup of coffee, walking out in nature, or even taking a nap, especially if it contains a nice dream.
