Non-Traditional Job

What traditions have you not kept that your parents had?

Well, I don’t reflect that my traditions crucially differ from my parents.

The only one … or two things that I did that vary from my parents are that they married very young, and I’m still unmarried. The other thing is that the vacation, the job I finally chose to follow. In this case, my father thinks very traditionally of a more secure job, and when I announced that I decided to follow the path of a writer, he was somewhat perplexed in the beginning. He doubted that I could write at that quality to publish a book. My mother, on the other hand, was more supportive.

Anyway, I proved him wrong. The first book I wrote, “Meliti and the Magical Medallion,” had been published. I remember getting my publishing contract within one year and one month after finishing writing my book.

So, I considered this a sign of being on the right path and breaking the tradition of doing a secure, stable job.
