What’s the story behind your nickname?

Well, nicknames are commonly used to express a special attribute of their owner, aren’t they, though?

I don’t know if you would call my name a nickname, actually, it’s the short form of my full first name. It’s a little bit long: Vasiliki, eight letters. Together with my last name, which is 12 letters long, my full name is 20 letters long. For that reason, I’m thankful that my parents didn’t have the idea to give me two first names.

People call me Vaso, as I mentioned, it’s a short form of my first name. There are also other short forms for it, like Vasia and Viki. As for all short forms, they don’t carry any special meaning.

However, regarding those mentioned above, if it reveals some specific characteristic about me, I don’t like to linger on things, as for daily matters. I prefer things to be done quickly and efficiently.  All short.
