Loyalty

What quality do you value most in a friend?

I have always believed that friends, true friends, can become family over the years.

Well, you are born into a family, and you can’t choose your family, but you can choose your friends. Therefore, one should be careful about whom they will rely upon, considering them a friend, because disappointment can be very hurtful. Sometimes, being hurt by a friend does more harm than being hurt by a family member. This can happen in this way since you have given away your trust, which means you opened yourself to the other person; it was your choice. For that reason, the disappointment doubles.

On the other hand, it can also happen that a friend becomes more than family. As I said, you choose your friends. This also has the advantage of finding people who are more on the same wavelength, so that you can create a deeper bond with them.

Now, what quality should a friend have in my eyes?

For me, it’s Loyalty. I think this word covers everything a true friend and friendship should be based on.

I completely agree… Loyalty means everything. It’s hard to trust nowadays because so many people wear masks. That’s why when someone proves to be real, loyal, and steady, it’s rare and deeply valued.

So it is, Willie. Increasingly, people are pretending.
