Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?
I have a lot of quotes, which I take as life guidance.
I will mention three of them.
He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
Bible, John 8:7
As Jesus indicates, no one is without sin. We all have made or are still making minor or major sins. So, for that reason, we shouldn’t judge others for their actions. First, we should improve ourselves and become better humans.
Next quote is:
Finding happiness within oneself is difficult, but it is impossible to find it anywhere else.
Arthur Schopenhauer
One of my favorite pessimistic philosophers. I entirely sympathize with him.
After undergoing a pivotal, profound, painful transformation, I can only agree with Schopenhauer. It’s a challenging, long journey to realize and find out what makes you truly happy, and even if you achieve that, another crucial moment is to dare to live according to that within yourself. Remember, familiar surroundings and society put hurdles in our way and make it difficult to choose the way of happiness sometimes or more often.
On the other hand, if you can’t be satisfied and happy on your own, you can’t find it anywhere else because there will always be something that will be lacking or disturbing you.
The last quote is one of mine; if I remember well, I’ve already made a post with it.
For some, success comes early in life, while for others, it takes longer. It doesn’t matter; what matters is leaving a lasting impact on the world.
Vasiliki Papadopoulou
This is from my personal experience. So far, everything in my life has come very late to me. I had to work hard and be patient in all areas of life. And seeing coevals having already succeeded, I didn’t let myself be discouraged. I kept fighting, having in the back of my mind that it’s a lesson I must go through because it’s karma, and I have to complete something important in this lifetime.
