Describe a random encounter with a stranger that stuck out positively to you.
Well, I had such an encounter with someone, but it turned out to be positive, or let’s say, had a predictive touch, much later than the time of the encounter, because I didn’t pay much attention to that meeting.
It was the time when I studied at the University of Athens and, in parallel, worked as a receptionist at a hotel in the heart of Athens. When I had a little free time between the check-ins, I used to read. When this encounter happened, I read Franz Kafka’s “The Trial”, and I remember we had a guest from the Netherlands, and he asked me which book I was reading, and wondered why Kafka. I told him I was studying German Philology (German Studies), and he found it very interesting. He asked me, “Why don’t I start writing myself?” I returned because I don’t have a talent for writing my own stories; I’m better at analyzing others’ work.
Who would have known back then that the Universe had sent me a sign, foretelling that I would start writing and publishing my children’s book many, many years later?
