Facets

Which aspects do you think make a person unique?

Well, I think, in the main, the facets of a character make someone unique.

That leads to another question: what aspects form our character?

I would say the cornerstone of a character lies in our childhood. Was this childhood an absolutely happy one, a so lala one, or a terrible one? Additionally, our past experiences with friends, school, and our first love have a significant impact. Did we do well in these areas, or did we encounter more disappointment and dissatisfaction? In summary, we can speak of a bundle of memories, which may be more optimistic, pessimistic, or a mix of both.

Then there are the experiences we live through now, the present. Where do we live? Are we happy at the place where we live? How are our relationships with our partners, friends, family, colleagues, and bosses? Are we satisfied with our work? All these aspects influence us directly on a daily basis. How do we process our emotions when we are disappointed or angry with a family member or a colleague? How do we feel when our boss gives a promotion to someone else?  However, on the other hand, perhaps everything goes pretty well for us? All of this and how we receive it creates a feeling within us that shapes our character, and more than that, our attitude towards life.

Speaking of attitude towards life, future wishes, dreams, and goals also influence our character. Do we set unreachable goals? Will we achieve our dreams, or will we be living through another failure?

All these are facets that mold our character and make us unique in the big, big, wide world.
