When you were five years old, what did you want to be when you grew up?

To be honest, I can’t remember many events from the time when I was five, let alone the ideas, dreams, and intentions I wished to fulfill when I grew up.

However, I recall vividly the time when I was seven. It’s the first time I’m writing about it. When I was 7, 8, 9, and 10 years old, in my free time and feeling melancholic, which was most of the time, I would lock myself in my room and listen to music with a Walkman. The Walkman also served as an imaginary microphone, and I started to sing my favorite songs and dance. I imagined having a huge audience before me, cheering enthusiastically. I felt like a Super Star. Yes, yes, I wanted to become a famous singer.

Well, you see, since I was a child, I have had a very vivid and unbridled imagination. Anyway, soon reality caught up with me, and I shifted my focus toward more tangible career paths. Which later also proved not to be my real destination. That’s life!
