How has technology changed your job?
Technology hasn’t only changed my job but also my entire life. And I will focus on this for explaining.
Undoubtedly, the last 20 years have witnessed rapid progress in technology, transforming society in significant ways.
The computer and the internet have become an integral part of our lives, enabling us to write and send a simple message in just a few minutes. Not to mention, the small mobile phone has evolved into a smartphone —a device that can do almost everything and can be easily carried in your pocket.
Meanwhile, in many cases, the state administration has gone online, allowing you to submit documents online if needed.
The revolutionary progress in robotics is now being utilized in various fields, including medicine, the automobile industry, and many other areas.
And now we are on the threshold of a new era of AI.
Well, all this sounds nice and easy; it’s undeniable that we save a lot of time thanks to technology. But it also has a shady side.
There are still older generations who can’t operate the ongoing developing technology. Another consideration is the personal data we are required to provide in order to continue using the technology and its benefits. There is a reasonable question about what happens with all that data. Who has access to this data? How many have access to this data?
Imagine the consequences of a major server crash at a company, supermarket, bank, or government agency.
There are numerous cyber wars ongoing in the world, between companies and states, of which we are unaware. Even missiles are computer-operated.
As with everything in life, there are pros and cons.
Let’s see how we will live by the end of the next 20 years… 😳
