Being an Owl

Which animal would you compare yourself to and why?

I would compare myself to an Owl. Why?

Well, Owls are considered to bring bad luck; honestly speaking, I can’t say that good luck was hunting me. I had to work hard in all aspects of my life for everything I wished for.

Owls have a very deep perception, as they are predominately night hunters. I can relate to that since my senses are also very alert, especially my vision, which allows me to observe the tiniest detail.

Next, Owls can rotate their heads 270˚ degrees, which means they can quickly see what is happening around them. I see this as parallel to my preference for having different knowledge and points of view regarding everything that happens in life.

In spiritual meaning, Owls stand for transformation, and I can completely identify with that signification, as I have undergone a very essential transformation in the last couple of years.

Lastly, Owls can fly high in the sky, looking for a new occasion to eat, and I see myself also flying high, further away to new horizons to feed my soul with new experiences.

I thought in Greek culture, owls symbolized wisdom and power. Like those tetradrachm coins from ancient Athens.

They also represent wisdom and power. But I wouldn’t call myself wise, and I’m not interested in gaining too much power. For that reason, I haven’t mentioned it.
