A Moving Spirit

If there was a biography about you, what would the title be?

The title of my biography would be, if I would ever have the honor of a biography to be written about me, “A Moving Spirit.”

You may wonder why I chose this title.

Well, in my life so far, I have relocated a lot because I had this oppressive feeling that I was not fulfilling my true calling. That feeling made me uncomfortable with where I was and pushed me to search for opportunities and explore different areas of possible careers. This combination of moods caused me to move away from where I lived.

First, I moved from Germany, where I was born and grew up, to Greece, to my hometown, Xanthi. Then, from Xanthi, I moved to Athens for my studies. After finishing my studies, I returned to Xanthi. After four years, I moved back to Germany and the town where I grew up, Reutlingen. And finally, after two years, I moved back to Greece, Xanthi.

While writing this prompt, I’ve noticed that, on average, I move to another place every four years. And I have to admit that I started feeling uncomfortable again. It’s not that I’m not following my true calling; thank God, I finally found it. But the place I live in makes me feel restricted. So, I have the urge to spread my wings to new horizons.
