What’s the thing you’re most scared to do? What would it take to get you to do it?

A few days ago, there was the question of what I would do if I won the lottery.

I mentioned, among other things, that I long to travel, especially to far-distant places from where I live now.

Maybe this sounds controversial, but at the same time, this wish of mine somehow scares me. You may wonder what makes me scared since traveling is an ardent dream I want to fulfill.

Sometimes, even our dreams and wishes terrify us because we must take that big, crucial step into the unknown realm. This is precisely why I fear traveling to distant places; this would mean leaving familiar spaces behind and stepping into strange aliens that may change you forever. Despite that, to progress as human beings, it’s our task to overcome our fears and take risks without knowing accurately where we are going or what may result; we should just explore the World, people, and ourselves. That’s a part of growing, physically and spiritually.

For me, this would mean buying a ticket to a distant place and taking the flight without hesitation. Luckily, I’m not afraid of planes or flying.
