True Companion

Describe an item you were incredibly attached to as a youth. What became of it?

The Nintendo Game Boy was an item to which I was very attached in my youth. I mentioned it in a previous post a long time ago.

I must have been around 12 years old when I desperately wanted a Nintendo Game Boy. However, I had to wait until Christmas to receive it as a gift, so I waited almost a year. Then, finally, I got it, but my elder brother, who is 9 years older than me, also wanted to play with it, so I had to share that Game Boy with him. Ooohhh, I can remember we had some fights, whose turn was to play with the Nintendo Game Boy. Anyway, I learned a lesson from it: to share things. Besides the Gambe Boy, I had another item that was exclusively mine. I have owned it since early childhood and still have it. It has accompanied me everywhere I have moved, and I can say it has been a lot so far. It’s a Teddy Bear plush toy. I wrapped a scarf around his neck, and it looks worn out because his head is shaky, which is understandable as it is very old. Indeed, it was and is a faithful companion.
